Проанализировано 14595 историй болезни пациентов, госпитализированных в клинику факультетской терапии Санкт-Петербургского государственного медицинского университета имени академика И.П. Павлова за период с 1985 по 1990 год и с 2005 по 2010 год.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. Частота фибрилляции предсердий у госпитализированных больных с 1985 по 2010 год увеличилась в 1,7 раза. Выявлено значительное увеличение количества пациентов с фибрилляцией предсердий в сочетании с избыточным весом и ожирением — в 1,9 раза, артериальной гипертензией — в 1,8 раза, сахарным диабетом 2-го типа — в 3 раза. Пороки сердца у больных фибрилляцией предсердий в период с 2005 по 2010 год встречались в 1,9 раза реже, чем в период с 1985 по 1990 год. Статистическая значимость различий определена с помощью точного критерия Фишера (p &lt; 0,0001).</p></sec><sec><title>Выводы</title><p>Выводы. Число пациентов с фибрилляцией предсердий, госпитализированных в клинику терапии, за последние 25 лет значительно увеличилось. В период с 1985 по 2010 год значительно возросло число пациентов с фибрилляцией предсердий неклапанного генеза и уменьшилось количество больных пороками сердца ревматической этиологии, имеющих фибрилляцию предсердий.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective. To evaluate the incidence and causes of atrial fi brillation in hospitalized patients of therapeutic profi le and to compare the dynamics of these parameters over past 25 years.</p></sec><sec><title>Design and methods</title><p>Design and methods. We analyzed 14595 medical histories of the faculty therapy clinic of Pavlov St Petersburg State Medical University for the periods from 1985 to 1990 years and from 2005 to 2010 years.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. The incidence of atrial fi brillation increased by 1,7 times over the past 25 years. There is a signifi cant increase in the number of patients with atrial fi brillation in combination with co-morbidities: obesity — 1,9 times, essential hypertension — 1,8 times, and type 2 diabetes mellitus — 3-fold increase. The incidence of valvular heart diseases in patients with atrial fi brillation decreased by 1,9 times from 1985 to 2010 year. Statistical signifi cance of differences was assessed by Fisher’s exact test (p &lt; 0,0001).</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. The number of hospitalized patients with atrial fi brillation signifi cantly increased over the past 25 years.
