В течение последних двух лет широко дискутируются вопросы о целесообразности использования бета-блокаторов в качестве препаратов первой линии для лечения артериальной гипертензии и их отрицательных метаболических эффектах. В то же время, класс бета-блокаторов гетерогенен, свойства отдельных препаратов могут существенно отличаться. В статье представлены результаты обследования 50 больных, страдающих артериальной гипертензией 1-2 степени, имеющих высокий риск сердечнососудистых осложнений, подтвердившие метаболическую нейтральность, эффективность и хорошую переносимость бетаксолола.

The issues of use of beta-blockers as first-line antihypertensive treatment and their negative metabolic effects are debated during last two years. At the same time beta-blockers are heterogeneous class of drugs, characteristics some of them may be different. At the article was presented the results of examination of 50 patients with hypertension 1-2 stage and high risk of cardiovascular complication which have confirmed the previous data that betaxolol is metabolic neutral, effective and good carried beta-blocker
