В исследование были включены пациенты с МС (10 больных без когнитивных нарушений и 11 пациентов с когнитивной дисфункцией). Всем пациентам выполняли нейропсихологическое тестирование, когнитивный вызванный потенциал для оценки когнитивных функций. Для изучения метаболизма головного мозга использовалась многовоксельная протонная МР-спектроскопия.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты</title><p>Результаты. У пациентов с МС и когнитивными нарушениями и без когнитивной дисфункции отсутствуют морфологические изменения головного мозга по данным магнитно-резонансной томографии (МРТ). По данным МР-спектроскопии головного мозга у пациентов с МС и когнитивными нарушениями выявлено нарушение метаболизма, в первую очередь связанное с увеличением уровня лактата и инозитола. Выводы. Показатели нейропсихологического тестирования, когнитивный вызванный потенциал ассоциируются с нарушением метаболизма головного мозга у пациентов с МС и когнитивными расстройствами.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective. To evaluate the role of magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MR-spectroscopy) in the study of cognitive functions in patients with metabolic syndrome (MS).</p></sec><sec><title>Design and methods</title><p>Design and methods. The study included patients with MS (10 patients without cognitive impairment and 11 subjects with cognitive dysfunction). All patients underwent neuropsychological testing, and cognitive evoked potential for the assessment of cognitive functions. Brain metabolism was studied by proton MR-spectroscopy.</p></sec><sec><title>Results</title><p>Results. In patients with MS and cognitive impairment, and without cognitive dysfunction no morphological changes in the brain according to the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were found. According to MR-spectroscopy of the brain in patients with MS and cognitive dysfunction the metabolism impairment is primarily associated with the increase in lactate and inositol.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion.
