Сердечная недостаточность (СН) является одной из глобальных проблем общественного здоровья. Декомпенсация хронической СН (ХСН) является причиной госпитализаций в стационары почти каждого второго больного кардиологического отделения (49 %). Распространенность СН с нормальной фракцией выброса левого желудочка (ФВ ЛЖ) в популяции составляет от 30 до 74 % (в среднем 45 %). Популяция пациентов с СН с нормальной ФВ ЛЖ характеризуется большей долей лиц женского пола и лиц пожилого возраста. У пациентов с СН с нормальной ФВ ЛЖ чаще встречается артериальная гипертензия, фибрилляция предсердий и хроническая обструктивная болезнь сердца.

Heart failure is a major public health problem. Decompensation of heart failure is the cause of hospitalization of each second patient in cardiology departments (49%). Prevalence of heart failure with normal ejection fraction is 30-74 % (mean 45 %). The population of patients with heart failure with normal ejection fraction is characterized by a higher proportion of women and more advanced age. Patients with heart failure with normal ejection fraction are more frequently hypertensive and have atrial fibrillation and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
