Оценка жесткости сосудов, особенно путем определения скорости распространения пульсовой волны каротидно-феморальным методом («золотой стандарт»), позволяет диагностировать поражение артерий на доклинической стадии, выявить группы людей с высоким сердечно-сосудистым риском. Современные технологические возможности позволяют осуществить неинвазивно контурный анализ не только периферических, но и центральных пульсовых волн, измерить уровни центрального артериального давления, определить модифицирующие его факторы (аугментацию, амплификацию), оценить степень кардиоваскулярного риска, назначить патогенетически обоснованную терапию и проконтролировать ее эффективность.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper reviews different research methods of vascular stiffness that is an independent predictor of the cardiovascular pathology and cardiovascular mortality. Vascular stiffness assessment particularly by means of measuring of the pulse wave velocity by carotid femoral method (the «gold standard») allows to diagnose artery damage on pre-clinical stage and to detect people with high cardiovascular risk.
