Цель исследования - оценка роли нарушения психологической адаптации к профессиональному стрессу у работников интеллектуального труда в формировании риска метаболического синдрома (МС). Материалы и методы. В рамках скрининговой программы было обследовано 703 работника банка (206 мужчин и 497 женщин) в возрасте от 20 до 59 лет. Оценивались биохимические показатели крови (глюкоза сыворотки, общий холестерин, липопротеиды высокой плотности, триглицериды), артериальное давление, рост, масса тела, объем талии и бедер, характеристики образа жизни, степень удовлетворенности профессиональной деятельностью (анкета на основе опросника эмоционального выгорания K. Maslach) и стиль копинга - стресс-преодолевающего поведения (опросник CISS). Результаты. Не было выявлено достоверных связей между компонентами МС и уровнем психологической адаптации к профессиональному стрессу. Было установлено, что работники банка в возрасте до 40 лет с отдельными компонентами МС характеризуются большей удовлетворенностью профессиональной деятельностью. Женщины в возрасте до 40 лет с отдельными компонентами МС реже используют эмоционально-фокусированную копинг-стратегию и чаще прибегают к курению в стрессовых ситуациях, а мужчины этой возрастной группы чаще используют копинг-стратегию «социальное отвлечение». В старшей возрастной группе риск МС и у мужчин, и у женщин связан с предпочтением стратегий избегающего типа, направленных на отвлечение от актуальных проблем и снижение эмоционального напряжения за счет переключения внимания на развлечения, включая эмоциогенный прием пищи. Выводы. Связь между уровнем психологической адаптации к профессиональному стрессу и риском МС отмечается лишь в подгруппе молодых работников и имеет слабый прямой характер. Предпочтение копинг-стратегий избегающего типа может играть важную роль в формировании риска МС.

Objective. To assess the role of disorders of psychological adaptation to professional stress in development of metabolic syndrome (MS) in bank employees. Design and methods. 703 bank employees (206 males and 497 females) aged 20-59 years were screened. Fasting lipids, glucose, anthropometry, blood pressure were measured. The questionnaires regarding life-style risk factors, professional satisfaction and coping style (CISS questionnaire) were applied. Results. Signifi cant association between MS components and psychological adaptation to professional stress was not revealed. Employees older 40 years with MS components have higher satisfaction in professional activity. Females younger 40 years with MS components more seldom apply emotionally-focused coping strategy and more often use smoking in stressing situations, but age-matched males more often use coping strategy called «social diversion». In elder employees (both males and females) MS risk was associated with preference of avoidance-oriented coping strategies aimed at distraction from actual problems and decrease of emotional tension by switching attention to entertainments, including emotional food intake. Conclusions. A weak direct association between psychological adaptation to professional stress and risk of MS was revealed only in the group of younger employees. Preference of avoidance-oriented coping strategy might play an important role in development of MS.
