Артериальная гипертензия и сахарный диабет типа 2 - часто сопутствующие друг другу заболевания. Такой «криминальный дуэт» приводит к многократному увеличению риска развития микро- и макрососудистых осложнений. Блокаторы рецепторов ангиотензина занимают лидирующую позицию среди всех классов антигипертензивных препаратов при лечении артериальной гипертензии в сочетании с сахарным диабетом. Ирбесартан является препаратом выбора при лечении данной патологии.

Arterial hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus often go together. This «criminal duet» leads to a significant increase of the risk of both micro- and macrovascular complications. The angiotensin receptors antagonists, and, in particular, Irbesartan, take the leading position among all classes of antihypertensive drugs in the treatment of arterial hypertension combined with diabetes mellitus.
