Однако соответствие возраста пациента и состояния артерий прослеживается не всегда. Таким образом, фактором риска патологии сердечно-сосудистой системы является не столько возраст пациента, сколько «возраст» его сосудистой системы. Цель данного обзора — рассмотреть основные составляющие сосудистого возраста и выделить основные критерии, которые могут применяться для его расчета.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The elastic arterial walls undergo structural and functional changes by age. Nevertheless, there is no close correspondence between the patient age and arterial aging. Arterial aging rather than patient age should be considered as a cardiovascular risk factor.
